This waterfront community located in Coral Gables revolves around the sea, where you can go sailing, scuba diving, water skiing, boating, and deep-sea fishing. Access to the community is through a 24 hour manned guard gate. There are cameras installed in both the North and South entrances. There is also a neighborhood crime watch responsible for safety and any issues regarding the community. The neighborhood crime watch are members of the association at Gables by the Sea. The Homeowner’s Association dues are about $150 annually with the option for additional donations to help the community.
Excellent public and private schools in the area include: Pinecrest schools and the highly regarded private Gulliver Academy & Preparatory school located just on the north side of the community. Gulliver Academy is a private school that provides a traditional academic education and has four campuses ranging from PreK3-12th grade. Gulliver Academy tuition (for 2013-2014) can range from $9,770 to $27,000 per year. Gables by the Sea has a wonderful park with children’s play area. Enjoy lounging in the gazebo, the landscape views, playing volleyball and other sports at Coral Bay Park. Shade trees and landscaping around Gables by the Sea preserves and enhances the beauty of the community. There are also several events hosted by the association, such as a Halloween costume parade at the park hosted by Pinecrest and Gables by the Sea Homeowner’s Association to provide a safe and fun day for the families in the community.
Properties with water access to Biscayne Bay are located on “finger” streets; many of those properties have custom docks, davits and boat lifts. Yachtsmen embark from their private docks for clear sailing to the Gulf-stream, Bahamas, Florida Keys and any Caribbean island. Some waterfront properties currently have no access to the bay. Gables by the Sea is in close proximity to Matheson Hammocks Park and Fairchild Tropical Gardens.
