The islands of Cocoplum are an exclusive one-of-a-kind place to live in Coral Gables and offer many exciting recreational activities for the residents. The clubhouse facility is located next to the pool and divided into 2 areas. Upstairs in the clubhouse, residents can lounge at the bar, outside terrace or have an event in the meeting room. Downstairs is a more casual setting, which includes a fitness room and outside patio leading to the pool. The fitness center offers exercise classes for residents and personal trainers. Swimming instructors at the pool are available for private lessons at an expense. Also located next to the clubhouse is a playground for children and a full size basketball court.
On the corner of Isla Dorada and Sinsonte, there are 8 Hydro Clay Courts, 4 of which are lighted for nighttime play. Both basketball and tennis courts offer personal trainers to residents for an expense.
The community has a private marina which handles luxury large yachts. Some homes can have a boat docked behind the house. Boats are not allowed in the exterior front side of a house. A second security gate leads to the prestigious island of Tahiti Beach, a private high security island of only 28 homes and the only private gated island in Coral Gables.
The Cocoplum Yacht Club offers marine services to those residents that own boats. They offer boat slips for sale and for rent. The club also hosts holiday parties, dolphin tournaments and other events.
At the islands of Cocoplum, association fees paid by residents will cover the amenities, as well as 24 hour security, common area landscaping and maintenance. An Identification Card is required to help security identify the residents. The amenities are only for residents of the Islands of Cocoplum and their guests.
