Coconut Grove is home to The Barnacle, a historic home built in 1891 and Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, an Italian Renaissance-style villa and formal gardens built in 1916 as the winter residence of industrialist James Deering. The Grove has many popular annual events such as the Coconut Grove arts festival plus many culturally stimulating activities. This upscale area is diverse and unique with boutiques, casual outdoor dining, modern movie theatre, live music and relaxed atmosphere.
